"OK — How Are Two Reels
Only $59.99?"
Two reels for less than a quarter of one name-brand reel. Something has to give. It does — just not the hardware.
- TV commercials you fast-forward through
- Pro anglers paid to hold it on camera
- The tackle shop's 40% cut
- The distributor's cut before that
- The logo
- ...whatever's left goes into the reel
Our Two Reels
- The reel✓
- A second reel, free✓
- A full casting course, free✓
- Hand-checked before it ships✓
- That's it. That's where your money goes.✓
The difference is who else gets paid.
Best Deal
In This Economy
We don't pay pro anglers to hold our reels on TV. We don't run six-figure tournaments. That's why two of these reels cost $59.99 instead of $200 for one — same class of components, none of the markup you pay at the big brands. Through Halloween the bigger sets add a rod, braided line and free shipping.

What's in each set
Every set starts with two reels for the price of one. The bigger sets add a real rod, line and free shipping.

"Baitcasters Are Too Hard."
Not This One.
Most men who gave up on baitcasting never had a skill problem. They had a reel problem. Big-brand reels leave the factory untuned, and then blame you when the line balls up on cast three.
Every Obalus is tuned by hand before it ships. Your first cast lands clean. Not your hundredth. Your first.
Magnetic brakes slow the spool for you. You never set them, and you never think about them.
We tune every reel in our shop. Open the box, tie on, cast.
The free course walks you through it in 45 minutes.
Don't Take Our Word For It.
Watch.
Real anglers. First casts.
The First Cast
We handed this reel to a man who had never used a baitcaster. No tutorial. No settings changed. Cast one landed clean. By cast ten he stopped asking if he was doing it right.
The Switcher
Twenty years on spinning reels. Sworn off baitcasters since a backlash in the nineties. By noon he had out-cast his buddy's $230 setup and asked where to order a second one.
The Side-By-Side
Same rod. Same lure. Same man. His $250 name-brand reel against ours. All day, the casts landed within a few feet of each other. The fish could not tell the difference.
The Big One
Eighteen pounds of drag means nothing until something big pulls back. Watch the drag hold smooth when a channel cat makes its run.
What A Good Morning
Feels Like
No untangling line while your buddy is already catching. No blaming the wind. No driving home early, annoyed at gear that fought you all day. Just casting where you aim, feeling the tap, and getting home with pictures.
Under the dock. Past the weed line. Right on the money.
Light enough that your hand isn't cooked by noon.
When something big hits, the drag holds.
When the man with the $300 setup asks what you're throwing.
Halloween sale ends Oct 31
2 reels from $59.99. The rod sets add free line and shipping.
Why This One
Doesn't Bird's Nest
A backlash happens when the spool spins faster than the line leaves it. Old reels made you control that with your thumb. That is why so many first baitcasters ended up in a drawer.
Ours uses magnets to slow the spool at the end of every cast. You get the distance without the mess. And we set it before it ships, so it works from cast one.
The Cast-Clean Course.
Included Free.
Nobody should hand you a baitcaster and wish you luck. Every order includes the full video course. Short lessons, 45 minutes in total, from setup to casting like you have done it for years.
The big brands sell you the reel and leave. We make sure it works for you. That is the difference between selling gear and standing behind it.
1 Month Of PB Fishing Premium.
A good reel and a clean cast are half the job. The other half is knowing where to go, what you caught, and whether you are getting better. PB Fishing does all three.
Hourly bite forecasts, species odds, and weather for more than 20,000 US waters. Fish the best window, not whenever you get there.
Snap a photo. The app names the species, estimates the length, and logs the date, water, and conditions for you.
Track personal bests and see the conditions behind your best catches. Your records climb the state and national boards.
This used to take twenty years on the water. Now it is in your pocket. A month of Premium, free with every order.

Wherever You Fish,
It Fishes.
Farm pond after work. The lake on Saturday. The coast on vacation. Bass, catfish, walleye, redfish — this reel does not care where you take it.
- Sealed insides, treated against corrosion
- Fish the coast, rinse it under the tap at home
- Most reels under $100 rust out after one salty summer
What $59.99
Actually Buys You
Every part below is the same class you would find in a $200 reel — and you get two of them.
When a fish runs at you, you can reel fast enough to stay tight. Slower reels lose those fish.
Big fish pull hard. This holds. You land what you hook.
That smooth feeling when you crank. You notice it in the first ten seconds.
The reason this doesn't bird's nest. Set at our shop before shipping.
Fish all day without your wrist reminding you about it tomorrow.
Your line lasts about twice as long. Less money on re-spooling.
Fish the coast, rinse it, it lives. Most reels this price corrode by season two.
Wet hands, fish slime, rain. Your grip holds anyway.
Fish It First.
Decide After.
Take it to the water. Cast it. Catch on it. Bring it home dirty. If it is not the best reel you have owned at any price, send it back within 30 days and we refund you.
